St. Teresa Benedicta, Pray for Us!

June 7, 2008
Holy Family Home Educators Conference
Indianapolis, Indiana
Kristen will give the following talk:

Special Needs Family Parable
A reflection on the parable of the boy possessed by an unclean spirit (Mark 9:17-27) and the father's plea to Christ for healing. Only when the man utters, "I believe, help my unbelief," does Christ heal the child. Then, Kristen talks about how special needs families interact within the larger homeschooling and parish communities, and gives suggestions for easing frustrations and receiving fruitfulness and grace.

Kicking the Demon of Self-Pity Out of Your House
If you think homeschooling is an easy job, this is not the talk for you. Bring your burnout, your frustrations, and your fears to this session, and let's talk exorcism. Kristen believes that self-pity is a demon, and that Jesus wants to help you take back your day. "For freedom Christ has set us free" (Galatians 5:1). Find out how you can tap into the "gently overflowing" cup full of grace.
